THE BIGGER PICTURE
Lehmann signed up for a managerial role in the Baller League, a project spearheaded by World Cup winners Podolski and Mats Hummels back in December 2023. Despite being in the midst of a Women's Super League campaign, Lehmann has eagerly taken on the challenge, bringing her tactical acumen to the forefront.
The Baller League is characterised by its fast-paced six-a-side format, featuring squads of 11 players, with nine selected during the draft and two designated as wildcards. With 11 match days scheduled, each fixture consists of two 15-minute halves, culminating in the crowning of the Final Four on April 6.
